# Facebook and Instagram Professional Connection

|| 💡  Prior to joining the Walmart Boosting program, ensure that your Meta health/quality doesn't have any pending issues or problems. And ensuring your Facebook and Instagram are connected and set to Professional.
|| Before you start, we recommend connecting your Account to a 2FA; WhatsApp is the easiest option. 


### Phase 1 -- Create a Facebook Page (Optional if you don't already have a Page) 


1. Log in to your personal Facebook account (you need one to create a Page)
2. Click the menu (≡) and go to **Pages**, then **Create new Page**
3. Enter your page name, choose a category (e.g., "Local Business", "Brand"), and write a short description
4. Add a profile photo and cover photo — use consistent branding you'll also use on Instagram
5. Fill in any additional details (if any): website, phone, hours, location
6. Click **Create Page**, and you're live

### Phase 2 -- Create a Professional Instagram Account


1. Download the Instagram app (or go to instagram.com) and sign up for a new account, or log in to an existing one
2. Go to your profile → tap the three lines (≡) → **Settings and privacy**
3. Tap **Account type and tools** → **Switch to professional account**
4. Choose your account type:  **Business** -- best for brands, shops, services (gives you contact buttons, ads, and full analytics)** **
5. Select a category and complete your profile: photo, bio, contact info

### Phase 3 -- Connect Facebook Page to Instagram

**Option A -- From Instagram (simplest):**

|| 💡 This step will be easiest to do on Desktop. You will get a window pop-up from Facebook; sometimes it won't load unless you select to unblock the pop-up 
window from your browser, keep an eye out for it. 

1. Go to Instagram Settings → **Account Center** (or **Linked accounts**)
2. Tap **Add accounts** or **Connect accounts**
3. Log in to Facebook when prompted and select your Facebook Page
4. Confirm the connection

**Option B -- From Meta Business Suite:**

1. Go to [business.facebook.com](https://business.facebook.com) and log in
2. Click **Settings** → **Accounts** → **Instagram accounts**
3. Click **Add** and follow the prompts to link your Instagram profile to your Page
