How Instant Commission Estimates Work

Instant Commission Estimates show you what you'd earn before you promote a product — across both Amazon Affiliate and JoyLink Commissions — so you can pick the most profitable deals in seconds.

Where to see estimates

Every product view in JoyLink shows the estimate:

• In the Deal Catalog on each deal card.
• On the JoyLink detail page for any link you've created.
• In the Chrome Extension when you create a link from an Amazon page.
• On the Add Product screen for JoyLink in Bio.

What the estimate includes

For each product, you'll see:

• Amazon Affiliate rate — based on the product's category rate.
• JoyLink Commission rate — if available (see "How JoyLink Commissions Work").
• Estimated earnings per sale — dollar amount at current price.
• Best-case earnings — uses the higher of the two rates.

How the math works

Estimated earnings per sale = Product price × applied commission rate

The applied commission rate is the higher of:

• The Amazon Affiliate category rate for the product.
• The JoyLink Commission rate (if the product is enrolled).

Plan availability

Instant Commission Estimates are shown on all plans, including Free.

Tips for using estimates well

• Sort the Deal Catalog by estimate to surface the highest-earning deals of the day.
• Watch for items where JoyLink Commission significantly beats Amazon Affiliate — those are often your best picks.
• Remember that volume matters too. A low-price product with a high conversion rate can out-earn a high-price product with few sales.

Troubleshooting

• No estimate showing? The product may be outside a category Amazon rates, or it may not be enrolled in JoyLink Commissions. The link still works — only the estimate is missing.
• Estimate changed? Amazon updates category rates periodically, and JoyLink Commission offers can start/end. Estimates always reflect the current rate.
